Job description

With the opening of Center Parcs Nordborg Resort, we are embarking on a new chapter in the history of Center Parcs – our first park in Scandinavia. Center Parcs expands its portfolio to include the popular destination of Denmark. The Center Parcs Nordborg Resort will be located on the southern Danish island of Als, in close proximity to the mainland, Jutland. The resort will feature 720 holiday homes, and approximately 200 employees will cater to the well-being of 160,000 guests annually. With an estimated volume of 450,000 overnight stays per year, this position presents a unique opportunity to elevate the guest experience to new heights and contribute to shaping the success story of Center Parcs in Scandinavia.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to take the lead at the brand-new Nordborg Resort in Denmark.

As the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in the successful launch and management of the park.

 
Role and Responsibilities:

 
Leadership of Operations Department Heads and their Teams:

  • Effective leadership of Operations Department Heads and their teams.Ensuring smooth operations and continuous optimization of processes.

Product Development and Business Concept:

  • Initiating product development within the overall business concept of the park.Defining department functions to ensure the highest service quality.

Park Ambassador:

  • Acting as an ambassador for the park, both internally and externally.Effective communication and collaboration with various departments for seamless park management.


Sales Results and Personnel Policy:

  • Accountability for achieving sales results within the department according to established guidelines.
  • Development and implementation of an effective personnel policy to promote a positive corporate culture.
  • Ensuring compliance with labor regulations (working hours, house rules, etc.).


Proactive Guest Engagement:

  • Taking a proactive role in guest engagement to provide each guest with a unique and unforgettable vacation experience.


Safety and Hygiene Regulations/Training:

  • Adherence to all safety and hygiene regulations and participation in mandatory training.

Competencies

Requirements: 

  • Completed degree in Tourism or a comparable professional qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the leisure/tourism industry with responsibility for team leadership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive and service-oriented approach
  • Proficient in English and Danish; knowledge of German is advantageous
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for weekend, evening, and holiday work
  • High level of conscientiousness and personal responsibility
  • High flexibility, resilience, and commitment
