Job description

The Procurement Associate is responsible for supporting professional and non-professional buyers within the organization in their Procurement activities throughout the Source-to-Pay process (both Source to Contract and Procure to Pay).

In particular, the Procurement Associate is expected to collect and process Supplier, Product & Contract related information, with adequate Processes and appropriate Tools, in order to deliver useful and value-added actions and analysis helping buyers to focus on their main Risks and Opportunities (avoiding cost avoidance, delivering additional cost reduction and WC improvement...).

Functional scope includes (non limitative): Contracts Management, Suppliers relationship Management, Tools administration, Procedures control., Training & Proc. Academy management.

Level of education required

Master degree or equivalent

IT Skills

SAP, Ivalua

Competencies

- Specific Diploma in procurement or procurement management preferred

- Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role is an asset.

- Languages: Dutch (mother tongue) English/German (C1) 

 

Hard Skills

- Procurement Knowledge: A solid understanding of procurement processes and best practices

- Technology Skills: Proficiency in ticket management tools & e-procurement software

- Project Management Skills: must be able to plan, execute and monitor procurement-related projects.

- Data Analysis Skills: must be able to collect & use data to make informed decisions.

- Tools admin. Skills: Ability to administer digital tool & get the most out of them.

Problem Solving: must be a competent problem solver, able to diagnose problems, identify underlying causes and propose appropriate solutions.

Adaptability: must be able to adapt to changes and propose innovative solutions when necessary.

Time Management and Priorities: must also be able to determine priorities based on the importance and urgency of problems.

Procurement Knowledge: must be able to quickly identify issues and answer user questions thanks to a deep kwnoledge of procurement processes, company policies, and procurement best practices .
