Job description

  • Assists and draws up Business Cases for initiatives within the tourism business
  • Deliver Key support/or take the lead on deliverables within the agreed deadlines (to understand the need to deliver some content within deadlines – to understand it is essential to deliver the requested content)
  • Make analysis on the financial (village) KPI – benchmarking – explaining – triggering - …
  • Specialist on analysing financial (Village) data for the 4 different countries (eg, but not limited to; Personnel costs, Cleaning, Energy, Maintenance,…)
  • Coordination of the yearly budget process, including the intensive communication between the several direct stakeholders (Village, Country, Central, Board,…)
  • Direct communication with procurement department for input of financial info and follow-up of specific savings. 
  • Assists and support on the set-up of the Business Plans (focus Villages).
  • Collects relevant financial and other information and expands the network with the aim of quickly accessing various knowledge centres (systems, archives etc)
  • Draws up executive high level one-page summaries of miscellaneous financial data/analyses (summarizing essential information into a "ready to take decisions" status)
  • Creates professional Power Point presentations (to the key - essential) and delivers well-founded arguments and recommendations on presented results (in-depth analysis)
  • Carries out various ad hoc tasks that contribute to realizing the Tourism Operations Support Team’s objectives
  • Able to setup/communicate several financial procedures and workflows (related to administrative processes/organization – allocation tasks/responsibilities – communication and follow-up)
  • Active contribution on specific project/work groups within the Operational Finance area (eg. Purchase to pay – Financial systems – Energy transition - Specific workflows - …)

Level of education required

Master degree or equivalent

Level of experience required

IT Skills

Excellent knowldege of Office packages (Excel/PPT). To become key user in several financial management systems

  • Hands-on mentality – creative - looking for solutions – able to define the key priority
  • By preference a few years relevant experience (but not absolutely needed – hands on approach with good financial insight is nevertheless a key requirement).
  • Educated to a master financial Business Control level (preference)
    Excellent knowledge of Excel and Power Point and able to present executive management info (“less is more” – to the point, show the essentials in a clear executive style)
  • Good knowledge of English (knowledge French is an advantage but not needed)
  • An open-minded team player attitude
    Flexible attitude to work (to understand ‘feel’ the crucial moments with critical deadlines)
  • Able to work independently – being very flexible (priorities change often – being able to switch ad-hoc from one priority to the other)
  • No-nonsense approach -always looking for solutions- and able to separate the general information from the details (helicopter view but also able to dig into the details when needed)
  • Takes the initiative, reveals new insights and strives for efficiency (coming with new ideas – looking for structural improvements – at high quality level)
  • Copes well with stress and is able to respect ambitious deadlines
